DTA provides education, training and resources for the Australian Workforce. Improving the health and well-being of people living with dementia and the staff who support them.
In this module you will work through case studies, involving a person experiencing each of the target responsive behaviours. For each case study you will develop a management plan to help support the person.
By completing this module, participants will be able to: 1. Recognise the three suggested stages involved in a management plan when supporting a person experiencing a target responsive behaviour. 2. Describe non-pharmacological strategies that may be used to support people living with dementia. 3. Explain the review and monitoring process once a person is prescribed a benzodiazepine and/or other sedative medications.
