This module has seven sections:
Modifying risk factors
- In this section the importance of modifying risk factors is discussed.
Explaining the trajectory
- In this section the trajectory of dementia is discussed.
Developing a management plan
- In this section approaches to developing an individualised management plan are presented.
Responsive behaviours
- In this section a non-pharmacological apprach to the assessment and maangement of changed behaviours is presented together with an overview of pharmaceutical management where necessary.
Caring for carers
- In this section the importance of caring for family carers is discussed.
Useful resources
- In this section you will have access to dementia resources useful in general practice.
Post-course quiz
- In this section you are invited to complete a survey to assist DTA to evaluate the Demystifying Dementia program.

On completion of this module you should be able to:

Develop and implement an effective management plan for people living with dementia at different stages of the disease
Continuing Professional Development
Completion of this module provides 1 hour of professional education – a certificate of completion will be issued after satisfactory course completion which will include passing an online knowledge quiz.

Learning with DTA
