What you do at DTA

I work as a Medication Management Consultant and Project Pharmacist. As a consultant, my role involves working closely with residential aged care teams to reduce the use of antipsychotic medications for people living with dementia. As a Project Pharmacist, I work on various projects such as developing educational resources and tools for a range of health professionals.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

A favourite part of my role is working with residential aged care teams. It is very rewarding to see improvements in the health outcomes of residents as a result of practice change.

How would your colleagues describe you?

My colleagues might describe me as a typical pharmacist – very friendly, organised and has a good eye for detail.

What’s a usual ‘day in the office’ like for you?

Usually you would see me conversing with aged care teams who are participating in our national medication management consultancies via video conference or developing a new educational resource for health professionals.

What’s your favourite font and why?

Times New Roman – I love a classic.

Something on your bucket list that you’d care to share?

I have always wanted to visit Norway and view the Northern lights.
